The arrival of Amber’s friend from America was quickly coming up.  Amber was really excited because she hadn’t seen her friend for a long time.  The others were excited to meet this friend of Amber’s.  They wondered what Amber’s friend would be like. Would she be tomboyish like Amber with a similar personality?  Amber’s friend Mari wasn’t set to arrive for another few days.

Yet one day when Luna was home alone there was a knock on the door.  Sniffling from her flu Luna got up from the couch and shuffled over to the door.  Maybe it was one of the members coming back to check on her, or to pick up something that they had forgotten. Personally, Luna was hoping it was the first reason.  She opened the door still sniffling and blinked in shock when she saw a person who wasn’t one of the other F(x) members.  Was this a fan? One who had somehow found their address?

“Hi!” the girl chirped in English.

“Huh? She spoke in English,” Luna said more to herself than the girl, “maybe she’s lost.”

“Uh hi?” the girl waved her hand in Luna’s face breaking her out of her thoughts, “You know I can speak Korean right?”

Luna blushed realizing that the girl had understood what Luna had just said to herself.

“Uh dangsin-eun nugu?” Luna asked slowly, hesitantly.  The girl smiled.

“Oh. I forgot. I’m early. I feel bad you guys must be busy, but they called and upped my flight to an earlier date and so I just came early.”  The girl rambled completely confusing Luna.

Luna just blinked at her confused.  Why was she talking about a flight and flying out earlier? She had no idea why this girl was talking about flying here and she still didn’t have her answer as to who this girl was.

“Oh-kay?” Luna said back questioningly.

“Oh. Hahaha silly me. Mianhe,” the bubbly girl in front of her apologized with a bow, “Mari imnida. I’m Amber’s chingu.”

Amber’s? Chingu? Luna thought looking at the girl up and down.  This bubbly girl was Amber’s friend Mari?  That’s strange, she thought, we all guessed that Mari would be boyish like Amber.  But she’s so … girly.  Mari was wearing a poufy tutu like white skirt with a printed burgundy tee-shirt and a short varsity jacket over top.  On her feet were a pair of pretty burgundy converse to match her shirt and her chocolate coloured brown hair was done up in two pony tails on either side of her head.

“Is Amber home?” Mari asked tilting her head to the side.

“A-amber? No I’m the only one home,” Luna said faintly.  Her head was beginning to pound, like a jackhammer and she was feeling kind of dizzy.

“Oh? Are you okay? You don’t look so good,” Mari questioned peering closely at her sticking her face right in front of Luna’s having to stretch on the tips of her toes to do so.

“I. I’m– ” Luna couldn’t finish that sentence because her head spun and black dots danced in her vision.  She began to fall forward and Mari who was surprisingly strong caught her in her arms.

“Y-yah. Yah gwenchana?” Mari stammered trying to help her stay in the upright position.

“lkasdf,” Luna mumbled incoherently.

“Aish,” Mari said struggling to get Luna back into the apartment and lying on the couch.

Luna’s breathing was laboured and her forehead was burning to the touch.   Mari suddenly realized why Luna was the only one home.  Luna was ill.  But Mari couldn’t understand why she was home alone. If she was this sick someone should have stayed with her.  Mari grabbed Luna’s phone off the coffee table as she laid a blanket over top of Luna.

She called Amber.

“C’mon Amber, pick up the phone,” Mari muttered to herself as she paced back and forth in front of the couch.

“Yeobosayo? Oh Lulu how you feeling?”  Amber questioned as she answered the phone.

“Oh Amber. It’s Mari.” Mari said sighing in relief.

“Mari-ah?  What are you doing with Luna’s phone? How did you get Luna’s phone aren’t you still in the US?”  Amber asked confused.

“Aniyo.  My flight was bumped forwards so I came a few days early.  I called because Luna is really sick.  Why isn’t one of you staying with her?”  Mari scolded.

“She was fine when we left just too sick to attend the schedule.  She’s gotten worse?”

“Ne is there any way you guys can come home?”

“Aniyo. It’s an inescapable schedule. Mian, but can I ask you a big favour?”  Amber pleaded.

“Of course.  Anything for my Unnie,” Mari replied.

“Would you take care of Luna until we get home?  I promise we’ll try and get home as fast as possible.”

“Ne. Arrasso.  I’ll take care of her until you’re back.”

“Mari, Thank you~” Amber responded relief colouring her tone.

“Ne, ne. Go on now.  Back to your schedule. Leave everything to me. Hwaiting!”

“Ne Hwaiting!”

They both hung up and Mari turned to look down at the girl who lay sick on the couch.  The rise and fall of her chest was quick and shallow.

“Aish. What am I going to do,” Mari fretted.  She figured she should make something for Luna to eat when she woke up.  Sparing one more glance at the sick girl she headed to the kitchen to cook something.

Luna’s dreams were strange.  They were filled with snippets of songs and images flashing too quickly for her to see.  Then suddenly she was standing on a street people walking passed her as if she weren’t there.

“Lulu~” a voice chirped from nowhere making Luna nearly jump out of her skin.

A girl popped into her vision leaning in from her side and blinking at her.

“Hiya Lulu.” The girl giggled.  Luna blinked in confusion.  This girl looked a lot like Amber’s friend Mari.  But what was she doing here?  What was Luna doing here?

“C’mon silly we’re going to be late for class.”  Mari told her grabbing her hand and pulling her into a run.

“Class?” Luna found herself asking as she let herself be dragged down the street.

“You’re weird today.  Did you forget we had class?” Mari laughed.

There was a flash of bright light and suddenly Luna found herself sitting at a desk staring forward while a teacher droned about some subject she wasn’t listening to.

“What am I even doing here?” Luna wondered too loudly.  The teacher turned around and his eyes narrowed at her.

“Do you have something to share with the class?” he asked her.

“Uh? Ani. Chesomida.” Luna apologized blushing bright red and bowing in her seat while the rest of the class giggled.

“Are you okay Lulu Luna you’re acting really strange today,” Mari asked bouncing up from her seat and over to her when the bell rang.

“What am I doing in school? I graduated years ago.”  Luna demanded/

“Graduated?” Mari burst out laughing, “I don’t think you got enough sleep last night.”

“Can we go talk somewhere in private?”  Luna asked leaning in to whisper to Mari.

Mari nodded and grinned.

“Sure I know where we could go.”  There was a flash and suddenly they were sitting in a garden.

“So what did you want to tell me?”  Mari asked.

“Is. Is this a dream? Or a hallucination? Or is it a prank?”

“Prank? Of course not and dream? Hallucination? Are you sure you’re feeling alright?” Mari asked stretching on the tips of her toes touching the back of her hand to Luna’s forehead.

“Hmm. You don’t have a fever and– Yah why are you crying?” Mari stuttered leaning back in surprise.

“I don’t know,” Luna sniffled wiping her cheeks with her hands.

“I’m so confused,” Luna said sinking slowly to her knees and continuing to cry, “I don’t know how I got here or what’s going on.  I just want to go back.”

“I don’t really know what you’re saying, but it’ll be okay.  Everything is going to be fine,” Mari soothed crouching next to her and stroking her hair lightly.

“Where is Amber unnie?”

“Who?” Mari questioned.

“Amber Unnie? The rapper of F(x) your friend. The reason you even came to Korea,” Luna said frustrated while more tears gushed down her cheeks.

“I’m confused.  I was born and raised here all my life Lulu.”

“What about Vic unnie. And Krystal and Sulli? What about them?”  Luna demanded.

“Eh?”

Mari’s puzzled reply made Luna cry harder.  She just wanted to go home.  This wasn’t right.  Where was she?  She started pinching herself trying to wake up from this nightmare.

“Wake up.” She said pinching herself hard on the arm, “wake up. Wake up! WAKE UP!”

Mari pulled her into a hug as Luna let out a loud sob.  Why couldn’t she wake up?

“Everything will be okay. We’ll figure it out somehow.”  Mari promised, rubbing soothing circles on Luna’s back.  Luna clung to the only person who looked familiar to her and cried.  She cried until she had no tears left to cry.

“Until we can figure this out just stick with me okay? I’ll make sure you get through this until you can get home.” Mari told her, sincerity glinting in her big, round eyes.

“Thank you,” Luna yawned. She was exhausted from all the crying she’d done.

“You’re welcome.” Mari glanced at the school, “C’mon we’ve already missed most of the day. We might as well just leave.”

So they did.  Days passed and Luna grew more attached to Mari.  She was the only one that she trusted in this mess of a world she’d found herself stuck in.  Luna’s feelings began to grow.  The more time she spent with Mari the more she became interested.  She grew really attached to Mari the more she learned about Mari’s personality.  Soon she began to notice that whenever Mari was around her heart would skip a beat.  Thump thump…. Thumpthumpthump. It became an uneven and strange pattern.  Butterflies rose and fluttered in her belly whenever Mari was around.  It took her a while to realize, but she finally understood that she was in love with Mari.  All this time spent with her, seeing how amazing she was at everything, how could anyone not?  She pondered this as she walked to school.

“Oh! Mari!” Luna called out spotting said girl just reaching the other end of the crosswalk.  Mari whirled around her eyes lighting up when they landed on Luna.

“Lulu hey!”  Mari said starting back across the street to meet her. She was still crossing on the correct light.  There was plenty of time.

But the world seemed to slow.  The loud blare of a truck’s horn erupted in the air just like in those dramas seen on TV.  Luna and Mari both turned to the sound.  No. NO! Luna’s mind screamed as she saw the truck ripping down the street heading straight towards Mari.  Mari’s feet were rooted to the ground.  Her eyes were wide like a deer’s.  ThumpThump. ThumpThump. Thumpthump. Luna’s heartbeat was loudly audible in her ears.

She recovered from shock too late.  Her feet took her as fast as she could towards the girl she loved, but the truck was too fast. She’d never make it in time to save Mari.

Still as her heart and mind screamed out in protest so did the rest of her, “NO!!!!!”

Sweating and panting heavily Luna sat up quickly on the couch.  Her heart was racing like a jackhammer.  She was still panic stricken and breathing quickly.  She threw the covers off her and raced for the kitchen where she heard noises.  There. Luna’s mind breathed in relief.  There she was.  Mari stood at the stove humming and stirring something.  She turned around to get something off the table and blinked in surprise.

“Oh~ Luna-sshi you’re awake. Are you feeling better?” Mari chirped cheerfully.

Luna’s body moved with a mind of its own.  She crossed the tiled kitchen floor and backed Mari up against the counter.

“U-uh Luna-sshi?”  Mari asked hesitantly.  No. It was too formal especially coming from a voice that was too familiar to her.  She needed to hear it.

“Call me Lulu,” Luna demanded leaning her face in close to Mari’s.  A blush crawled up the back of Mari’s neck and onto her cheeks.

               “Uhm. Okay. Lulu?”

There it was. The familiar butterfly inducing way that Mari had called Luna’s name before.  A smile broke out across Luna’s face and she grabbed Mari’s face between both her hands.

“Don’t scare me like that.” Luna scolded confusing the poor girl.

Despite her confusion Mari had absolutely no objections to being this close with Luna. After all Luna was her bias in F(x) even if Amber was her childhood friend.

“Bw– Mmph!” Mari squeaked in surprise when Luna’s lips met hers.  Her eyes widened as Luna’s shut while Luna kissed her with all the pent up feelings she had towards Mari.  Luna coaxed Mari’s lips to follow her movements in a slow gentle kiss sending sparks of electricity shooting through both girls’ bodies.  Mmm, Mari could only thing as her hands came up and grabbed the back of Luna’s shirt.

Both were panting from lack of oxygen when they broke the kiss to breathe and Luna uttered in a whisper the one word, the only word on their minds, “Finally.”
It's an F(x) Luna x OC pairing I hope you like it~
